Michael Jayston was an actor for over 50 years and was in two short scenes in Only Fools and Horses, and yet this is what pops up when you Google his name:
On one hand, obviously it's just another mark of how huge the show is in British culture. But Jayston's brief moment on the show DOES actually warrant such a heavy all-tie connection with the show - after all, he was 100% directly responsible for the Trotters cashing in on the famous Harrison watch. Jayston therein was directly part of what was supposed to be the final episode of the show, Time on Our Hands, before popular demand brought the show back for three more Christmas specials.
Jayston deserves his connection to the greatest show of all time today, and it's such a wonderful connection, and he should be missed.
