The reason DEI is such a great topic for Republicans to hammer away nonsensically on is because just like with the border or why they can’t drop Trump and everything else it's incredibly easy to paint a super-scary A versus B scenario; in the DEI case it’s

A. Incredible well-qualified white candidate with a beautiful family who goes to church every Sunday and donates his free time to the local orphanage

B. Black guy with no arms or legs who can’t read and brags about how many white people he’s going to kill as soon as he finally gets a job

Aaaaaanaaaaaaaaad apparently there's nothing in between so ta-DA! they can ride this idiot train straight through to November without breaking a sweat.
