What's remarkable about the "Darling" joke throughout Series - sorry, I forgot I was talking to a bunch of American rubes - SEASON 4 of Blackadder is that since they filmed all 6 episodes before any of them aired, each time the audience saw the joke at an episode taping it was their first time hearing it and so their laughter upon seeing it for the first time is 100% genuine.
