This short piece is super interesting, in that on one hand it's a fabulous tale of honeymoons & first class luxury but on the other hand there's a hanging sense of pathos - are the airport workers really his "best friends"? Also, how did a 35 year-old guy have $510,000 in 1990 lying around? What does he do for work?

ALSO: this would've been a great idea for a late 80s/early 90s sitcom, a workplace sitcom with a never-ending cast of wacky transient characters and exotic (or non-exotic) settings centered around someone who's living an incredibly strange life; just let the hijinks ensue and ka-CHING!! You blew it, sitcom people of the late 80s/early 90s!!
