Speaking of Wilco

Yesterday before the show I was yammering to my fellow Wilco showmates about the time I saw Midwestern indie rock supergroup Golden Smog (by "supergroup" I mean Dan Murphy from Soul Asylum was in this incarnation; a previous one had Dave Pirner & Chris Mars as well) come on Late Night tv while I was living in Oxford, MS & played my favorite song from their (one?) album. Last night after the Wilco show I looked it up and I'd totally forgotten that playing bass that night was an apparently 8 year-old Jeff Tweedy alongside his old bandmate, the late & great Jay Bennett.

Great song, great night and I feel lucky to be living in world where I can just hit a button & see it all over again.
