Since I was a kid I always found it interesting that Darth Vader, whatever you may think of him as an immoral homicidal dictator, was right on the front lines when it came to actual battles with his troops; I mean I love Dwight Eisenhower like the next person but he wasn’t exactly on the beaches of Normandy himself, was he? And from everything I can gather about Darth Vader, I find it perfectly reasonable to assume that if he wanted his own army to attack the beaches at Normandy he would’ve been the first guy off the first boat, that’s all I’m saying here guys.
