A Hot Take on the Hit Movie BRIDESMAIDS

Bridesmaids is supposed to be the first comedy in which women were gonna to be themselves to be funny, freed from being in a movie simply to eye the foil for whatever dudes are being the funny ones; the movie’s supposed to be some sort of female empowerment trip and yet most of the entire basis for the plot it...one woman is super-jealous of another woman’s wedding plans? Really? THAT’s the big reveal about “sisters, doing it for themselves!!” Why not have the whole thing just them pillow-fighting while spinning records & calling boys from Algebra II class?
