This has always been a fun fact to kick around in mid-March but does anybody know if this is actually true? I mean, how great were records kept in 1759? How difficult could it really have been to just say "wow look at this great deal this guy somewhere you'll never ever imagine being able to visit or read about gave me a deal, how great is that?" and everybody just believes him because what else can they do? 🤔 🤷♂️
