I think the reason DJ was so funny on
Roseanne while the actor kind of didn't really go anywhere after that is that whenever he was onscreen he always looked grouchy and kind of annoyed he even had to be there, which is absolutely perfect if you happen to be playing a little kid with two older sisters but probably not necessarily an indicator of your wanting a long & distinguished acting career.
