I'm finishing up a marathon re-watch of the entire run of The Conners so far, and I have a few overarching thoughts:
1) if you played a drinking game in which you thought to yourself - as opposed to thinking to anybody else, I suppose - "why is Dan being such a fucking pathetic asshole?" you will literally drink yourself to death
2) if you played a drinking game in which you thought to yourself - as opposed to thinking to anybody else, I suppose - "why is Dan being such a fucking pathetic asshole?" and then his character was saved by the writers twisting themselves in knots to "reveal!" him ONCE AGAIN being some strong, silent noble & righteous warrior, you will literally drink yourself to death
3) a lot of times it's typical broad sitcom stuff, but when they need to turn on their "real" acting chops Becky & Darlene can absolutely crush it
4) none of these people deserve Ben & Neville's unbounding generosity & forgiveness
5) I'm still lost how this broke-dick motherfucker can still be paying off a house he bought in 1973 for what could not have been more than $11,000
6) it's really incredible how good-to-great this show still is 5 years after Roseanne was (rightfully) kicked off her own show
7) Jackie is just the greatest, one of the greatest of all time; here she is from the last season and she hasn't lost a fucking step 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️
