I don't know if he spent years work-shopping it or if he just came up with it on on the spot (like this maybe-greatest extemporaneous line ever???), but this is a perfect, incredibly succinct joke from Billy Wilder:

Samuel Wilder a small town in Poland, Galicia. Years later in Hollywood, he would describe it as being "Half an hour from Vienna. By telegraph."

Just perfect. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
