Today is the 58th anniversary of the release of Revolver, my favorite Beatles album (right now). I've blathered on & on about the album for 20 years here on Xmastime, particularly when the reissue came out in 2022, but since I'm not any smarter or have any more insight than anyone else who's written any of the hundreds of books about Revolver, I'll leave it to The Kinks' Ray Davies via his going out of his way to semi-trash it track-by-track for a Disco and Music Echo article when it came out. Davies is pretty famous for being incapable of telling anything other than the 100% truth, and he doesn't hold back. This one is my favorite right now:
Tomorrow Never Knows – “It’ll be popular in discotheques. I can imagine they had George Martin tied to a totem pole when they did this.”READ 'EM ALL HERE!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
