LONG LIVE THE MIGHTY COASTERS!

When it comes to songwriting in the 1950s, no one was more perfectly suited to Leiber/Stoller's brilliant mix of abject pathos & pure comedy like The Coasters, to the point that it's now dawning on me to wonder if The Coasters are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay underrated? They're never really mentioned with all-time great vocals groups like The Drifters/Temptations/Four Tops etc but whether or not you think they rank as highly as some of these others, the fact is they should at least be in the conversation - unless I'm sorry, but are six I repeat SIX absolute no-brainer all-time great early rocker hits not enough for you people?
Youngblood
Searchin'
Charlie Brown
Poison Ivy
Yackety Yak
Three Cool Cats
I could be accused of personal bias; I have an old Coasters 45 given to me by a former work colleague (RIP Mike A, you old old funny (he once told me to wear a white t-shirt to work the next day; I asked why & he said he had some slides from his vacation he wanted to show everybody ðŸ¤£ ðŸ¤£ ðŸ¤£ ðŸ¤£ ) Long Island railroad-riding old man!) but that's ridiculous, these songs are unassailable and dammit you people need to love The Coasters more!
