This clip from Wings is in rarified air in that it’s the rare scene for which I can pay it the ultimate compliment: it combines comedic & timing elements from two of the most iconic Only Fools and Horses scenes, The Chandelier and of course The Bar. And Joe’s “why didn’t we just give her this one?” line is so brilliant in how it’s so underplayed you kinda miss it but you still kinda chuckle and then a minute later it dawns on you that Joe’s right, which only makes it funnier.
YOU PEOPLE SHOULD BE WATCHING MORE WINGS DAMMIT!
