[XMASTIME NOTE] I moved to Brooklyn 25 26 years
ago this past January; throughout the year I'll be noting things, no
matter how small they are in reality, that I remember & associate
with those first few days/weeks/months of living in the greatest city in
the world.
I can't remember where it came from but during my first few months in Brooklyn on Ainslie Street living with Rrthur (YES ladies, THAT Rrthur) and Mrs. Rrthur I had a little handheld radio that I'd play quietly in my bed at night (1998 - non Internet! no headphones!) and even tho I'd hated the Knicks for as long as I could remember I quickly fell under the radio spell of Clyde Frazier, who was effortlessly dropping phrases like "he's posting & toasting!" every night while I shook my head in the darkness. This is one of my first memories at 232 Ainslie Street with Rrthur and Mrs. Rrthur, fresh from moving to Brooklyn USA with everything & nothing in front of me all at once.
