Questions. I Have Them.

This is George Wendt hosting Saturday Night Live on March 22, 1986. Cheers was on NBC, just like SNL. The show was at its absolute cultural & rating zenith; even as a 13 year-old I couldn't make it thru a week without shouting out a "Norm!" joke. So I guess my question is how could they have had Wednt walk out for his monologue without the entire crowd shouting "NORM!"??? 🤔🤷‍♂️😡😡😡
