Happy Birfday David Jason, Again!

Here's my ranking of the five sitcom episodes featuring him that I watched today:

ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES
STRAINED RELATIONS
Season 4, Episode 2

Goodbye Grandad, hello Uncle Albert & maybe the best dramatic scene of the entire series.

IMDB: Grandad has suddenly, tragically died, and Del and Rodney attend his funeral and mingle with the North London branch of the Trotter family. Once the wake at the flat is over, they discover that one member of their extended clan has quietly stayed on incognito: Grandad's brother, Navy veteran Uncle Albert. When they find out that Albert is now homeless, Del and Rodney face a moral dilemma that tests their resolve with this cunning, salty old sea-dog.

Season 3, Episode 4

Much much higher on the drama than the comedy which is unusual but the mic drop at the ending was, dare I say, Only Fools and Horses-worthy. 

IMDB: Blanco is due to be granted his parole, but when Fletch hears Blanco claim that he was innocent of his wife's murder all along and that her lover killed her, he believes the old man should have a free pardon instead and organizes a petition, forging Mr. Barraclough's signature to add to the list. Eventually, after threats of hunger strikes, the free pardon is granted. However, when Fletch asks what happened to the wife's lover, Blanco replies that he killed him years ago.

ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES
WHO’S A PRETTY BOY?
Season 3, Episode 7

Hello Denzil & Mike, other than that a pretty good but not great episode. 

IMDB: Del is determined to get his revenge on big-headed Irish painter and decorator Brendan O'Shaughnessy for flogging him some dodgy paint. So, when he learns of Brendan's plans to redecorate Denzil and Corrine's living room, he convinces them of the Trotters' credentials to do the job better. Corrine isn't impressed, but the Trotters get the job anyway. Left alone in the flat to decorate, with only Corrine's beloved pet canary for company, what could possibly go wrong...

THE NEW SUIT
Season 2, Episode 4

Good episode with a surprisingly artistic scene full of pathos that added great depth to a brilliantly normal episode. 

IMDB: Tired of being seen around with the shabby Arkwright Nurse Gladys Emmanuel gives him an ultimatum and tells him that he must buy a new suit...or else.

THE CHRISTMAS TREE
Season 2 Episode 1

Impossible for a newer show to compete with these giants but it does well thanks to David Jason & a revolving cast of British National Treasures. 

IMDB: Granville gets more than he bargained for with a cheap Christmas tree. Later, the shopkeeper holds a cozy drinks party where he and Gastric try to get Madge into the festive spirit.
