Trump rarely lets a day go by without reminding everybody that the Tariff Era that ended in 1913 was a magical time during which it was laughably easy for an entire country to produce gold bars out of thin air; has it occurred to anybody in the room to ask if that's the case then why did everybody just seem to instantly forget about it for 110 years? 🤔🤷♂️
