A (Very) Few Brief Notes on Episode 3, the Only Episode I’ve Really Liked So Far, of Bill Simmons’ Boston Celtics Documentary CELTICS CITY

Based on this and several other Celtics docs I’ve seen, there seems to be an entire cottage industry based on hating Sidney Wicks and Curtis Rowe, and that industry is rabid in its purpose.

Of course I was planning on seeing a lot of white faces in this particular documentary, but it turns out there’s a lot more whiteface in it than I woulda guessed.

 

Wait what why is Barry Bonds in this???? (No confession like back in his Beverly Hills, 90210 days, tho).

Okay, NOW it's a Celtics doc.

And finally, were the Talking Heads really the right band to play when teasing Bird’s introduction to the story? 🤔 I’d say no, but only if you have an even vague understanding of 1) the Talking Heads or 2) Bird, so 🤷‍♂️.
