A global pandemic wasn't enough to bring our country together and the ensuing years have only torn us apart even further; therefore, I am officially announcing the formation of a committee to launch a national campaign to find a new way to construct the McDonald’s Big Mac in a much more satisfying & pleasing way. What we know so far about the problem, vis-ร -vis our hero Xmastime:
- It’s remarkable that after 50 years it’s still so popular considering its total absence of structural integrity. Has anyone ever finished one w/o it completely falling apart?
- How is this sandwich so popular when the bun/cheese ratio is 3:1?????!!?
- Its box is exactly as wide as the sandwich itself it, meaning to pick it up you've gotta scrape the buns & start tearing/unsettling everything before you've even started. (See also: previously mentioned structural integrity concern.)
Use hash browns for buns, deep-fry the entire thing in a tempura batter, whatever; the only rules are you can only actually get rid of or replace one of the ingredients which are integral to the integrity of the sandwich (you know the integral ingredients, we all know the goddam song by heart), and it must be able to be sold for the same price it currently is.
GOOD LUCK NEW BIG MAC LOVERS, I WILL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE!
