Fuck the Farmers

Via who gives a shit where, it's just fucking depressing:

President Donald Trump said his administration will work with immigrant farmers who are in the country illegally that if they have “strong recommendations for their farms,” they will be able to remain in the US “for a while.” “We’re also going to work with farmers, that if they have strong recommendations for their farms, for certain people, we’re going to let them stay in for a while and work with the farmers,” the president said during a Cabinet meeting at the White House. “Work with the farmers, and then come back and go through a process, a legal process, but we have to take care of our farmers,” he said.

Sooooo....

1) the workers are illegal & should be deported
2) but the farmers who hired them want them
3) so Trump's like oh then sure yeah of course they gotta stay 
4) and the farmers, who knowingly hired illegals, not only aren’t held accountable
5) but get to keep the status quo as is
6) even tho that status quo is what Trump’s railing against and has partially used to declare a national emergency which allows him to crater the global economy on a whim

Of course Trump says “we have to take care of our farmers” and we all nod our heads without thinking, but why is it “we have to take care of our farmers” to the exclusion of everybody else who we’re either firing & terminating their retirement benefits or throwing them in El Salvadorian torture prisons when part of the reason the “illegals” are here in the first place is for cheap farm labor? “We have to take care of our farmers” even though they’re a big reason for the illegals we’re now blaming in order to allow a Toddler King to ruin the global economy?
