I've realized that one of my go-to moves in an elevator with someone & their dog if I feel the need to fill the dead air & wanna get an easy, relieved laugh that will make the person like me forever is to wait for the dog to look at me & make an “easy fella, I don’t want any trouble here..." joke and so far I'd say my success rate is 100%.
