WARNING: FRANKENSTEIN AND THE SOPRANOS SPOILERS BELOW!
At the end of Mary Shelley's masterpiece the creature says he will burn himself on a funeral pyre out of grief and remorse after Victor Frankenstein’s death, but then runs off & we have no idea what actually happens to him after that.
In the famous Pine Barrens episode of The Sopranos, the big Russian escapes from Paulie & Christopher & for the rest of the series everybody wondered if/when he'd come back but he never did, so nobody knows what happened to him.
It's not like they're insanely specific, quirky things that are crazy for anyone to imagine on their own, but is it possible David Chase was influenced/inspired by the ending of Frankenstein? 🤔🤷♂️
