One of the more fascinating things I’ve learned from MAGA is that the stupid people who like to try to sound smart by gleefully evangelizing successful business people as being cut-throat, no-nonsense transactors of ruthless economic trade in the spirit of the winner-take-all ruthlessness of the free markets are the same people who believe that these very ruthless business people of business are now going to eat the cost of the tariffs so it will make us all feel good about being Americans.
Sure, why not.
