Sam & Sam

I mentioned a while back that I was enjoying Billy Corgan’s podcast but most of his guests so far have a been a bit of the rock C-list 😬, so I was thrilled to see Sam Moore, as in Stax legend Sam Moore of Stax legends Sam & Dave, show up as the guest today and boy oh boy people I am here to tell you it’s a fucking delight:
- Sam doesn’t take a breath the entire time, Billy gets about 4 words in

- Sam goes out of his way to sniff out any opportunity to talk about what a shitty singer Dave was (Dave died in a car crash at age 50 in 1988)

- Sam says that out of the songs he’s ever done the ones he juuuuuuuuust could never seem to into are (insert the names of the four Sam & Dave songs people have actually heard here)

- Sam is excited to tell us how many people covered their classic Hold On, I’m Coming and the first artist he mentions is ta-da! Bill Cosby!

AND I’M ONLY HALFWAY THROUGH SO FAR!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

An absolute delight, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Either way, these guys were fucking ELECTRIC in their time.
