Matt & Ben or Ben & Matt Whatthefuckever

Moi Say Moi back in 2024:

Out of all the successful writing teams throughout movie history, are Matt Damon & Ben Affleck - they were super young at the time, had known each other since the womb etc etc - the most surprising instance of a partnership that never wrote a second movie? 🤔🤷‍♂️

Moi say Moi back in 2023:

I don't know why they don't just hand over a Brinks truck to Affleck/Damon and build up a hilarious series of commercials throughout which Affleck seethes more and more about delightful, above-it-all Matt Damon. As Xmastime is want to say, "I'd watch that shit!"

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand surprise surprise, all of a sudden what do we have all up in cheer:
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have made three movies together in four years: “The Last Duel,” “Air” and “The Rip.” In a new interview with GQ magazine, the longtime friends and “Good Will Hunting” Oscar winners said they don’t have any plans to stop working together. Damon said it dawned on him that he needed to keep making films with Affleck after he watched Peter Jackson’s 2021 Beatles documentary “Get Back,” which ends on a final title card that says the band never worked together again. Damon had tears in his eyes and immediately thought about Affleck.*

“Who cares if we oversaturate the marketplace with movies we’re both in?” Damon said. “We’re crazy if we don’t take advantage of the fact that we are both still here and able to do this.”
You people really need to start giving me credit for being such a Hollywood influencer, you're welcome very much.

*If Paul & Ringo wanna share credit for this I'm open to it but it will require a sit-down with the three of us & whatever woman I'm suddenly with
