1981 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

A coupla years ago I asked if 1966 was the most British year ever and it's occurred to me that 1981 must’ve been pretty great for them too: 

The Royal Wedding (not the other one even if I enjoyed the fuck out of it)
Premiere of Only Fools and Horses
The Kinks (who also ruled the 1966 Glory Days) began their surprising '80s comeback
Duran Duran led what would be called The Second British Invasion/The New Romantics; this musical movement would peak at Live Aid and disappear forever the next day 

Okay well I guess that's it, but it's still a pretty great list.
