C is for Cookie, Good Enough to Eat

Was watching Sesame Street this morning with my charge. One of the sketches was the Cookie Monster, who kept pointing to things and asking “is THIS a cookie?” Hopeful, cause of course he wants to eat a cookie. Are we…are we really supposed to believe this? I mean, YOU’RE THE COOKIE MONSTER!!! Cookies are your life, your appellation – shouldn’t we assume you know the difference between a cookie and, you know, anything else? What’s next, the black character asking “is THIS the check cashing place?” camon!!!!!
