Soul Asylum is the best live band I've ever seen. Period. AND I say that knowing that I didn't even see them in their 1980's prime; I didn't even see them til a decade later. You wanna hear people wax, ask people bout seeing them in the 80's. Ah well. Still, my favorite live squad.

saw them open for Everclear. They were good but Dave P. is too in love with himself!
BANNED FOR A WEEK!
1) being wrong
2) paying to see everclear
;)
First saw them in 1990, I think, but again in like 1999 with Rylo. Still great in '99 even supporting that festering pile known as Candy from Strangers. Just have fun and play your songs like you are proud and you mean it.
Saw Everclear at HFStival with the Ramones. That Santa Monica song is catchy, though. . .
saw them twice on that Candy from a Stranger tour...by the second time, they had given up pushing the new crap and it was like a greatest hits show. blew the roof off Tramps.
Hang Time tour, 1988, Stache's in Columbus Ohio on the hottest mutherfucking night in July you can imagine. Went with my pals from the Afghan Whigs who were pals with them; the whole place (sold out, 200 people max) degenerated into a water fight by shows end, band on stage included. One of the best ever.
Jane's Addiction, Alice in Chains, Nirvana = live shows from the early 90's that kick soul something's ass.
FH: wrong. and BANNED.
Everclear kicks ass!
