"What America needs in this hour is a fighter!"Hmm. Really? Haven't we been fighting for a long time now? Aren't we all a little bit worn out from fighting? We've fought, and fought, and fought; and here we are, years later, in no better position than we were before. In fact, we're in a much WORSE position than we were before we all became such "fighters." So maybe instead of the same old, tired, trite, "I'm a fighter!" rah-rah gung-ho nonsense bullshit, maybe what we need is someone a little smarter, someone who thinks a little loftier than "I'm a fighter!" Maybe this isn't the time for us to be dragged down into a barroom-brawl just for some cheerleader's sake. Sometimes you get so used to fighting, you forget to even look up to see if you're winning or losing.
