Alright Alright Alright

Is Matthew McConaughey's Wooderson in Dazed and Confused the single greatest example of an actor who went on to have a long and very successful film career as a leading man, yet will never top his supporting role performance in his film debut?

I don't know if you could say it was their first roles but Sean Penn as Spicoli and Brad Pitt as Floyd from True Romance come close.

Spicoli's a good one. But I might see his role as a lot bigger than Wooderson. and ive...cough...never seen true romance.

the only problem with affleck is it takes you 20 viewings to realize its him. and them you still dont believe it! :)

I'll vote with TheGnat on the Spiccoli reference. And for her work in the same flick, let's give Phoebe Cates best supporting actress evah!
