Texas Gov

I mentioned the Governor of Texas earlier talking about Texas being "oppressed" by Washington and may be looking to leave the union. By "oppressed" I assume he means "taxes."

One of the more interesting things about the Governor of Texas throwing the word "secede" around, other than he's inciting a state that has more guns than air to breathe, is that Texas has no state income tax. Which means that after the post-secession 4-day-long party dies down (accidental shooting death total: 88,332) it will eventually occur to the people in charge that they're not getting any more money from Uncle Sam. No money for education, roads, etc. And oh yeah, no protection from the Mexicans that are "desperately streaming in to kill everyone." I'm guessing starting a country is not as cheap as, say, a clown rodeo. So they'll hafta...tax everybody. To which Joe Q. Texan might think "hold on...now I'm paying more in taxes than ever before, AND I can't get the NFL package? Wtf??!!"

So we basically have a man who is the governor of a state looking to incite anger and violence about something that is simply not going to happen. Very responsible. I look forward to reading about the first shootings tomorrow morning.

ps - Texas: you've given us George W. Bush, Nov 22, John Hinkley Jr, Mark David Chapman and Ashlee Simpson. Maybe you've got the whole "who's fucking whom over" thing backwards?
