well, as a fellow grant guy, you were very open with grant solo stuff and not so w/ bob. w/out even delving into workbook or the other bob stuff, the first 4 songs on the debut sugar album are ridiculously great ... so once again, i have topped you embarrassingly. (laugh track ensues)
Agree. The missing Sugar tracks indicate an underlying anti-Mould bias. Too bad. Nobody appreciates the "face-ripping" power of that band (the Husker's) anymore, anyway. Back in the day, when they "sold out," my shitty-ass, indie prima donna friends called it CANDY ASS GREY. Those fuckers were wrong, wrong, wrong!
i listened to plenty of Mould early solo stuff, and even owned a Sugar cd. never did anything for me. Sometimes it's possible to simply not like something; adding any such tracks simply to please your "credibility criteria" would be dishonest.
