It's easy to root against the Yankees as some sort of Evil Empire, which I fully get if you're a fan of another AL East team, but you can't deny how gracious they were to invite the Westhill girl's softball team to join the starting lineup in the field during the National Anthem. Awesome. Reminds me of when they stuck to their word and played Virginia Tech in an exhibition after that shooting massacre in 2007. Say what you will, but no other teams did such a thing.
So take a break from hating them for a few hours. There's plenty of Yankee moments left to hate on, it's a long season.
