The Power of the Documentary
Before Hard Knocks, I pretty much assumed Chad Johnson was a douchebag. Now, after getting sucked into the show this season, I'm crazy about him, mostly thanks to scenes like this one. Luckily I am cognizant enough to know my feelings have been manipulated by the power of the documentary style - hell, who can watch those Alexandra Pelosi docs about Bush campaigning or Ted Haggard putting leaflets on doors without thinking "heeeeey, they're not THAT bad." Meanwhile, they're licking their chops to destroy the world. You can show me a documentary about a guy addicted to kicking puppies, and I'd be like "gee, he's so nice to his little brother!!" Grrrr.

actions speak louder than words, don't they?
