Are
The Office and
Curb Your Enthusiasm the only great sitcoms of the decade? I'm struggling to think of another one, other than
Family Guy, since I'm embarrassed to have gotten hooked on a cartoon. What the fuck? Nothing else? I mean, I like
King of Queens, but it didn't exactly break the record for originality.

I love that moonfaced guy, but still prefer Doug Heffernan.
I enjoy both The Office and Curb; great stuff. But I'm concerned that "squirm comedy" seems to be not only the prevalent from of comedy these days, but seemingly the only one getting it right. (Although, I am getting really tired of Judd Apatow and his mostly unfunny cronies.)
agreed. matter of fact, took me a while to come around to Curb in the beginning for that very reason. but those two shows do it SO well, that as long as they're the only ones doing it, its great. unlike, say, parks and recreation, which tries it and is unwatchable.
and we all know how i feel about the apatow juggernaut.
What about 30 Rock? Smart with flippant pop references but also offbeat and madcap with hijinks. Distinctly character-driven like Seinfeld. Worth considering in this pantheon of sitcoms of the 00s.
30 Rock, everytime i see it i can see its really good, but for some reason i cant get into it. and i love alec baldwin. i dont doubt its great, but ive never gotten into it.
