Joe Strummer, Still the Coolest

Former front man Joe Strummer was joined on stage Saturday night (Nov. 16) by Clash guitarist Mick Jones. Jones strolled on stage during an encore of The Mescaleros set at a benefit for striking firefighters at Acton Town Hall in England. The duo played two Clash staples, "White Riot" and "London's Burning."
I've posted a clip here before, and I've watched Joe Strummer: The Future is Unwritten several times, but I never really noticed before that this reunion between him and Mick came not at just some random Strummer show, but at a benefit gig Joe set up for firefighters. As Don Letts said in the doc, "typical Joe that this happened at a benefit for firefighters and not because someone offered them $2M to get back together."
