This is What I'm Fucking Talking About

John Flaherty on tonight's pitchng matchups:
“If we’re just talking about the pitchers and nothing else, I think Saunders may have a little bit of an edge in the cold weather because he’s a fastball/change-up guy and A.J.’s curveball is usually his go-to strikeout pitch. The weather makes it harder to spin the ball, and that favors a guy who relies more on the fastball and change. So, a slight edge to Saunders.”
AJ Burnett has spent his whole life tirelessly working on his god-given talent to throw a ball hard as fuck and make it move like it's falling off a truck. And the Yankees invested tens of millions of dollars into him being a main factor in winning them a World Series ring by throwing horrific breaking balls. But none of that might matter since MLB has decided to stretch out the playoffs into fucking Christmas so it can squeeze out a few more dollars and please television, it's fucking master. And it's every team that this is happening to, not just the Yankees. Yes, let's make sure that the weather negates as much talent as possible throughout the very stretch of games teams play 162 games for. Awesome.

That was a syntactical trainwreck, but I agree.
