What the - This Shit Was Actually WRITTEN?

In 1991, producer Michael Shamberg had an idea to make a film about people in their twenties. He read a screenplay entitled Blue Bayou written by Helen Childress on spec in 1990. He liked it and met with her. For three years she wrote and rewrote Reality Bites, generating 70 different drafts.

Wow. Seriously, I'm gonna need to see some of these early drafts. I mean, what are they, "Here's a picture of my foot?" Wow.
