I Heart Huckabee

TNC kinda starts in with how I was thinking the past few days about the Huckabee story, but then gets sidetracked into a more personal story.

Basically, from what I can tell Huckabee made the mistake of not being able to see into the future that one of the 1200 clemency cases that came across his desk in any given year would result in the killing of four cops. Other presidential hopefuls will pounce on this of course, using it for short-term political gain along with the convenience of embracing the credo that once a black guy gets put in jail he needs to STAY in jail, no matter what.

Basically, I think this also lets Huckabee off the hook for pretending he wants to be president. He's got a warm-and-fuzzy show going on over at FOX that he's really good at, and should stick with that.

not interested in the ones he did free in accordance with the Arkansas criminal justice system that DIDNT kill 4 cops? just keep everybody locked up then? either have the balls to say that, or be an adult and accept the fact that yes, sometimes bad things happen even when we try to do "good" things. like suspected terrorists, why even let them out? lock 'em up and throw away the key, right?
