Of course now that I've mentioned it below, I can't get Safety Dance out of my head. Is there a better example from that intitial burst from MTV of such a video: song otherwise would've been forgotten, both the video AND song make no sense at all, the band immediately disappeared, for all I know they live in my building right now? There's probably a bunch more like this.
