I don't know if
Primal Fear is a great movie, but I've always thought Ed Norton's performance was one of the best I've ever seen, and I just now realized it was his film debut. Good lord. Is this the greatest film debut performance ever? What're some others? I feel like this has to be up there.

John Cazale made his film debut as Fredo Corleone in the first Godfather. He got a Golden Globe nomination for it.
Also Cazale has, arguably, the greatest film career ever, since he only made 5 movies in his lifetime, with three of them earning an Academy Award for Best Picture*. The five are:
