I was
having a good time laughing at Sniffy's knee-jerk defense of the 67,996th candidate she has thrown her own hat in the ring for, until I noticed this little nugget in that very Facebook posting:
That, unfortunately, is the nature of the beast in politics today – especially for conservative “underdog” candidates who surge in the polls and threaten to shake things up so government can be put back on the side of the people.
Will Folks, the blogger who said he was sticking whatsherface, is a conservative blogger who worked for GOP Governor Mark Sanford. In fact, the very same post by Folks that Palin
uses to warn "And don’t believe anything a liberal rag claims or suggests unless the reporter involved has the integrity and the facts to report to you so you can make up your own mind"
includes the passage:
In fact, on a very personal level I have become the primary target of a group that will apparently stop at nothing to destroy the one S.C. gubernatorial candidate who, in my opinion, would most consistently advance the ideals I believe in. For those of you unfamiliar with the editorial bent of this website, the candidate I am referring to is S.C. Rep. Nikki Haley.
This isn't Jon Stewart stuff here; Barney Frank didn't hold this dude at dickpoint and insist he call out the affair. This wasn't the evil, left-wing liberal, elitist media outing another GOP sex scandal. And yet Sniffy couldn't take about 4 seconds to siphon this through her pretty little head. And that's very interesting.
