Beepah Beepah!

Apparently the Chinese have a newfound fascination with cars. I did not know this; whenever Kam Sing comes it's on a bike with one of those comically over-sized baskets like some woman in Good Morning Vietnam (our war with the best soundtrack.) But they ruv dem some caaaaaaaahs now:
Is China the battleground for the electric vehicles revolution?

The Chinese would like to think so. EVs are all the rage these days in China, at least among industry and policy wonks in Beijing. The logic is simple: Having missed the industrial revolution, and then assumed the role of a benchwarmer during the information revolution, China must now seize on the energy revolution.
Of course that doesn't mean they're gonna be any better at actually driving them:
Is there a connection between there being apparently no cheese in the Chinese diet and them being such bad drivers? Maybe what makes Americans better drivers is the cheese; ie our insides are so bunged up we hafta hyper-focus on driving so we get where we need to get as soon as possible, whereas the Chinese are in no rush and spend their driving time cruising along slooooooowly, rooking around at the scenery and allowing themselves to be distracted. Seems like a connection to me, be nice if a committee to investigate was formed.
