Irony.

Just as I was looking at this post re: the reality that Sarah Palin's poll numbers are actually pretty shitty, I flipped over to Chris Matthews and Bill Maher nailed it:

Maybe her "base" is actually the media.

Palin and the media seem to have the same tacit agreement that paparazzi magazines and celebrities do: "we will follow your every single move no matter how irrelevant you actually may be, and you will endlessly bash us and pretend to be pissed off that we exist."

ps - yes, I know that using Chris Matthews or Bill Maher in a post automatically discredits anything they've actually said since it's just me drinking the Kool-Aid, so save your breath.
