1987

I feel like being sad and mopey today. I don't know why, maybe it's my time of the month. Fuck you if you don't like it.

ESPN has another series of old NFL photos, this time from 1987, which makes me all mopey and nostalgic since 1987 for some reason is romanticized in my head as a great year.

Eric Reiberg said...: IU Hoosiers won the NCAA tournament. Angelo Pizzo and David Anspaugh, writers of "Hoosiers", skipped the Oscars ceremony which was held on the same night as the championship. Pretty good year.

(To be fair, Pizzo and Anspaugh who had been previously nominated for "Breaking Away" were not nominated for best original screenplay. Instead the nominating committee decided "Crocodile Dundee" was a better script than "Hoosiers". Perhaps a "Fack Youse" in order for the members of the academy?); 12:39 AM
