The Xmastime is a Lonely hunter

I haven't read The Heart is a Lonely Hunter in 15 years, but it was a slice, (along with The Member of the Wedding) although I had no idea they made a movie of it until I watched it earlier, so you can imagine my surprise when I realized it starred Alan Arkin.  I love Arkin, but he doesn't really scream "deep Southern town."

Of course, I was quickly reminded his character is a deaf kind-of mute, so.
