1989

Was apparently the best year in tv history, thanks main to the debuts of Seinfeld, The Simpsons and, of course, Saved by the Bell.  Also, I had a girlfriend that year, which means these shows must've been in black and white.

LEFT OFF THE LIST, ACCORDING TO XMASTIME:

Coach
Life Goes On (finally, the bootheel of oppression is lifted off the goofs!) (gooves?)

Also, the final game of The Major League Baseball Game of the Week as Brothatime!! and I knew it; albeit it had prolly been a few years since the Kubek/Garagiola days.  This was how we'd watch baseball, without a local team you'd wait to see who they'd give you on Saturday afternoon.  It always seemed to be the goddam Cardinals.

And, of course, we had This Week in Baseball, the greatest theme song of all time.
