If people are gonna howl with outrage about programs that lead to lives of dependency, they're gonna hafta find an example other than someone who was raised without his father as a minority in someplace called "Hawaii" and ascended to the most powerful position on the planet.  Not exactly lounging on the couch, sucking on the welfare teat, is it?
