Fictionalfoods takes recipes from food found in books.  And yes, you are correct in saying "Xmastime, that reminds me of that 'Book Supper series' you started a few years ago that went exactly one post long with your Grapes of Wrath Burgers." Oh, fuck you!

Tonight's Book: The Grapes of Wrath

Menu: hamburger patty, fried potatoes
Take some grease (the older/more used the better), heat in skillet.
Slice up potatoes, put in skillet.
When pretty done, move to side of pan. Place burger in pan.
Grill burger.

Serve with no salt, no butter cause these are hard fucking times. Be pissed about there being no jobs cause the bosses are assholes. No seconds. Let stranger nurse from breast (if applicable.)
